Anna Sharp (September 26, 2011) - I won't be winning any perfect attendance records at my gym any time soon (when chasing around two little Tasmanian devils from sun up to sundown, who needs spinning?), but I'm no stranger to a good workout. I gotta say though, watching our Parent & Tot teacher in action leaves me out of breath.
In a room of very excited and active toddlers, Viviane runs circles around them (literally and figuratively) in energy and enthusiasm. There is never a dull moment--just an hour of non-stop singing, cheering, clapping, high-fiving, and of course lots and lots of dancing ("Vite vite vite!").
My father-in-law, Chris, visiting from Botswana--a man who has worked tirelessly for over 40 years in the developing world combating crises ranging from illiteracy to HIV/AIDS--said it best on the drive home: "Whew! IMPRESSIVE!!!" Later that day with my husband we were again marveling at Viviane's performance, and Chris came up with a good comparison...the physical stamina, the devotion, the creativity and grace--it's like watching a gifted dancer. (Except the stars of the Paris Opera Ballet, of course, have it easy only performing for an adult audience.)
So to Viviane and all the Language Stars teachers who keep our children captivated and enthralled week after week...Bravo!!!
