Late Elementary Programs
In Late Elementary Programs, children practice using target vocabulary in the context of a key structure, with an emphasis on speaking skills, but adding an introduction to developing reading and writing skills in the target language.
- Our Late Elementary curriculum is organized around thematic units designed to facilitate practice of key vocabulary and functional language structures such as "My name is," "I live in...," "I have a...," and more.
- In all groups, a thematic unit typically lasts for 5 weeks, long enough for a group to learn, reinforce and digest the key concepts through a variety of lively games and activities.
- The Late Elementary Workbook provides reading, writing, speaking and listening practice of key vocabulary and structures. This book, end-of-unit assessments, and our Student Center allow parents to follow along with their child’s progress.
