School Partnerships Director
Yin Yuan was born in Beijing, China and moved to the United States in 2008. Fluent in Mandarin, she holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland.
Yin began her career at Language Stars as a teacher and has since been promoted to the Gaithersburg center director and school partnerships director.

Alma Ascencio was born in Veracruz, Mexico. Fluent in Spanish, she graduated as a social worker from the Instituto de Ciencias y Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas and also studied early childhood education at Harold Washington College.
Alma has more than 20 years of experience teaching young children and has been teaching at Language Stars since 2003!

Director of Education
Karen Gould split her time growing up in Burlington, Vermont and Los Altos, California. Fluent in French, she holds a BA from Princeton University and a MA in Linguistics from Northeastern University.
As one of the longest-tenured employees, Karen has been with Language Stars since 1999!

Language Stars Teachers deliver FunImmersion programs in Language Stars centers and school programs.
Teachers run structured activities and games, with materials, session plans and training provided by Language Stars, to deliver fun and effective foreign language classes.
Language Stars Center Directors manage the day-to-day operations of our centers. Center Directors are responsible for achieving sales and service goals, planning and executing marketing events in the community and maintaining excellent levels of customer service and teaching quality in their centers.
Assistant Center Directors
Language Stars Assistant Center Directors support student success and center growth by assisting the Center Director in outreach to prospective families, service to existing clients, development of community partnerships and monitoring classroom quality.
School Partnership Directors
School Partnership Directors play a key role in developing a lead pipeline, managing the school partnership sales cycle, and retaining partnerships; all contributing to profitable revenue growth. The team’s goal is to drive sustainable growth through selling and retaining School Partnerships and forging strong relationships with school administrators and influencers.
School Partnerships Relationship Manager
Language Stars is seeking a School Partnerships Relationship Manager to run existing and new Language Stars DC-based school programs business. We are seeking a sales professional who is looking for a long-term career and who will strive to grow with our company, while achieving merit-based increases in responsibility and compensation.
